EASTlab: Environmental and Sustainable Technologies Laboratory

The EASTlab specializes in the design of technology systems that reduce environmental impact while advancing economic and societal objectives.

This includes the design of hardware and systems such as consumer products, manufacturing processes, and water treatment processes. It also includes the design of policy instruments and corporate strategies that allow environmentally beneficial products and processes to succeed in the marketplace with maximum economic efficiency for consumers, corporations, and taxpayers.

Since its establishment in 2000, the EASTlab has produced over 100 original scholarly publications while creating over $10 million in research and education programs. Graduates of the EASTlab are continuing the mission in academia, government, and industry.
