Our Fall Show is Patience

Brief Plot Synopsis:

Two rival poets attract the attention of the young ladies of a village, who had previously been engaged to the members of a cavalry regiment. The poets are both in love with Patience, the village milkmaid. Patience detests one poet, but feels it is her duty to avoid the one she loves. Complications and hilarity ensue.

INVITATION TO SPONSORSHIP

Until recent years, ticket sales have been sufficient to cover the cost of a quality orchestra, scores, theater and workshop/rehearsal space rental, costumes and associated expenses. Costs have increased, and the flourishing of theatrical arts in Ann Arbor has increased competition for ticket sales. The Society receives no funding or financial support from the University of Michigan. FUMGASS (our “Friends” organization) contributions provide working capital for productions, but cannot sustain the organization without assistance from other sources.

This year we face the possibility of having to use a much smaller orchestra. We believe that the full orchestral experience is integral to bringing you the highest quality production.

Please consider sponsoring our unique local tradition. Sponsors receive benefits such as complimentary tickets and acknowledgement in publicity materials for their tax-deductible contributions. Suggested gifts include:

Show Sponsor……….$10,000    Set Sponsor ……………..$800

Orchestra Sponsor……$5,000    Individual Orchestra

Program Sponsor……..$1,500        Member Sponsor…….$400

Costumes Sponsor...…$1,000

FUMGASS, the Friends of the University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society, recognizes contributors of smaller amounts with a subscription to their quarterly newsletter and preferred ticketing dates.

Contributions can be directed to: FUMGASS, David Goldberg, 8461 Thurston Road, Pinckney, MI 48169.

FUMGASS is a 501 [c](3) organization and provides tax documentation annually.
