WELCOME to The University of Michigan Gilbert & Sullivan Society, the oldest student operated G&S society in the nation. Brief Plot Synopsis: Two rival poets attract the attention of the young ladies of a village, who had previously been engaged to the members of a cavalry regiment. The poets are both in love with Patience, the village milkmaid. Patience detests one poet, but feels it is her duty to avoid the one she loves. Complications and hilarity ensue.

If you are interested in auditioning, please come to the Mass Meeting and sign up. You may also contact umgassexec@umich.edu for an audition time. We also welcome people interested in helping with sets and costumes.
UMGASS is accepting petitions for all prod staff positions for the upcoming productions of Patience (Fall 2009) and Gondoliers (Spring 2030). Petitioners should submit a letter of intent and a curriculum vitae to umgassexec@umich.edu.
Petitions for Patience are encouraged to contact us by July 1, 2009. As suitable candidates are found, positions may be filled before this date. A submission date for Gondoliers has not yet been set. Petitioners are welcome to contact us at any time. Positions include: Music Director Lighting Designer Artistic Director Costume Designer Assistant Artistic Director Graphics Designer Choreographer Props Set Designer Makeup and Hair Designer Technical Director Stage Manager
